About The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place is a unique sanctuary dedicated to providing animal beings healing and restorative safe spaces, loving attention, committed adoptive matches and (for those who lack an alternative) compassionate palliative care.
Human beings can enjoy exposure, experience, education and information; Volunteer and employment opportunities; Veterinarian student internships; and connections to a community that advocates for and cares about animal family members.
The Gathering Place is a unique sanctuary dedicated to:
- Providing animal beings with healing and restorative safe spaces, loving care and attention, committed adoptive matches and (for those who lack an alternative) compassionate palliative care.
- Providing services to animals that need a nurturing and healing environment, medical and emotional care and loving, committed adoptive families.
- Helping human beings receive exposure, experience, education and information, valued volunteer and employment opportunities, internships for veterinarian students (and those considering) and connectedness to a growing community of care.

How The Gathering Place Impacts People:

- It can be an alternate home for the animal family members of seniors that need a home (and adoption support)
- It is a reasonably priced spraying and neutering alternative (with veterinarian staff onsite)

How will The Gathering Place operate?
The Gathering Place will be funded by donations. There is a four-phase plan to establish and sustain the organization:
Plan & Fund
2020-2024
Plan all aspects of the organization. Achieve funding goals, and identify and recruit board members.
Build & Develop
2024
Locate and buy land/ location, build, hire employees, and recruit and screen volunteers.
Launch
2025
Open the Sanctuary and begin 24/7 videography of animals (online).
Operate & Sustain
2025
Establish funding and social media efforts to ensure ongoing success.
While the location is yet to be determined, we are considering: Missouri, Colorado, Oregon. The goal for launch is January 2025 with the successful achievement of our funding goals.
